Coaches and Captains
Coaching Staff
The Redmond/Eastlake Gymnastics coaches are all experienced at both coaching and doing gymnastics. Each has a history in gymnastics, and a wide variety of other athletic disciplines. They love gymnastics, and love teaching others the hardest and best sport in the world.
Ryan Weed
Head Coach
Ryan has been a coach with the team since the 2012-13 season, as assistant coach for the first 5 seasons, and head coach since.
Ryan has been involved with gymnastics since age 3, and while he never competed on a team he did spend time on an exhibition performance team at a gym in Woodinville, where he later coached for a couple years. He achieved roughly the skill level of a Level 7 while with the exhibition team.
In addition to gymnastics, he also has coached cross country from 2012-21, and the jump events in Track & Field with an emphasis on pole vault at Glacier Peak High School from 2011-22.

Team Captains
The position of team captain is a leadership role. It is defined by a general helpfulness to both their fellow teammates and their coaches. Captains can do a lot of things for the team, such as leading warmups at meets, giving advice and answering questions for teammates, and acting as an intermediary between coaches and teammates.
